I can’t tell you how many times I have selected my items to purchase on a website, put them in the cart, then gotten to the final checkout and because of a procedural confusion – left the site never to return.
Test out your links, test out your procedures, have many different people process prove your systems to ensure the website is clear, easy-to-use, and works.
Keep the photos up-to-date, make it appealing, look for ways to engage the customer to stay on your site. This could be through video links, links to more details, stories behind your company/products/services, live chat, or written chats.
A website is your gateway to the world. Make sure it reflects your brand and sends the message you want it to send.
