The Eleventh Day Tip:
The holidays can be a stressful time for everyone. It seems as if everything is packed into a one month time frame that can include for some: getting and decorating a tree, decorating the house, buying presents, cooking special foods, sending out holiday cards, going to special church events or holiday shows, attending more parties, etc. All of this is in addition to the everyday of life events. No wonder, people are tired and stressed, including your employees!
The tip today is to be mindful of yourself, your employees, and your customers to recognize and have empathy for the hectic pace that the holidays can place on people. No one benefits from a sick boss, parent, or co-worker. Look through the lens of your customers, both internal and external. Identify with their emotions, and then look to meet their needs. Sometimes it is in that recognition of how they are feeling that you can create a loyal customer.
Find little ways to step back and relax to ensure you are getting enough sleep, exercise, and eating right so you can have empathy for your customers who are trying to do the same things you are.
