The holidays are here and shoppers are shopping. Some are shopping in stores and others are doing their buying online. For the next 12 days, I’ll share a customer service tip to start building a loyal customer base that will keep customers buying from you after the holidays are long gone.
The First Day Tip:
Smile. Customers want to feel welcomed. Customers want to be acknowledged and noticed. This doesn’t mean that you should stand and hover over them while they are shopping, but it does mean that when a customer enters your store, you show appreciation they came in.
For those online shoppers, make your website smile. Welcome customers to your site. Thank them for visiting. If you have a live chat, make sure your representatives greet each customer when they open the chat.
A smile is easy. A smile is contagious. A smile opens the door.
